LPN Career Development Opportunity

Shannex Incorporated is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team through our Enhanced LPN Orientation Program. This innovative program is designed to support Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) in transitioning into nursing practice at Shannex.

About the Program

The Shannex Enhanced LPN Orientation Program is a comprehensive six-week training program that focuses on caring for the aging adult. Participants will gain hands-on experience and develop the skills necessary to provide safe, competent, and compassionate nursing care. Our program is delivered at a state-of-the-art healthcare learning space in West Bedford, accommodating 16 learners.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated LPN who possesses the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Internationally Educated nurse who currently holds or has applied for a conditional LPN license through the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
  • Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid CPR & First Aid Certification within the last year
  • A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening
  • Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care
