About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming residents.
  • Provide personal care including toileting, feeding, and transferring residents.
  • Assist with medical procedures such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing wound care.
  • Support residents with mobility issues by assisting with transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
  • Engage residents in activities such as exercise, games, and social events to promote mental and physical well-being.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by following infection control protocols and reporting any hazards or concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Continuing Care Assistant program or equivalent experience.
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
