Shannex Incorporated is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team through our Enhanced LPN Orientation Program. This innovative program is designed to support Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) in transitioning into nursing practice at Shannex.

About the Program

The Shannex Enhanced LPN Orientation Program is a comprehensive six-week training program that focuses on caring for the aging adult. Participants will gain hands-on experience and develop the skills necessary to provide safe, competent, and compassionate nursing care. The program includes topics such as professional nursing practice, communication, leadership, gerontological considerations, and medication management.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented LPN who is passionate about delivering exceptional care to seniors. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Internationally Educated nurse who currently holds or has applied for a conditional LPN license through the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification within the last year
  • A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening
  • Previous experience working with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment is an asset
