Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House Cobourg.

Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that high-quality food and exceptional customer service are consistently delivered. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that inventory levels are maintained.
  • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with the chef to prepare food order summaries and ensure that food quality meets standards.
  • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high-quality results.
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced food service establishment, standing for extended periods and walking to perform duties. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
