Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service and Safety Officer to join our team in Sherbrooke, NS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, maintaining a safe and secure environment, and upholding our company's values of professionalism, respect, and excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to inquiries from the public with empathy and professionalism;
- Monitor entrances and ensure all visitors adhere to Public Health guidelines, promoting a healthy and safe environment;
- Patrol client properties on foot to prevent unauthorized entry and discreetly direct individuals who disrupt the premises to leave;
- Offer specialized security services and foster effective relationships with key stakeholders, prioritizing their needs and concerns;
- Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures with consistency and fairness;
- Respond promptly to and report irregularities, security breaches, hazards, and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution;
- Utilize radios, handheld devices, and computer applications to communicate site activity effectively;
- Write clear and comprehensive reports, including daily activity reports and incident reports, to facilitate informed decision-making.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including report writing, with a focus on clarity and precision;
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, demonstrating a professional demeanor and deportment at all times;
- Ability to solve problems, make decisions, and respond to emergencies under pressure, exercising sound judgment and composure;
- Discretion when handling confidential and private information, maintaining confidentiality and integrity;
- Physical ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods, adapting to varying work environments;
- Ability to pass a security clearance and obtain a security license (a valid security license is considered an asset);
- High school diploma or equivalent and of legal age, meeting the minimum educational requirements.
Education and Certification Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED; Standard First Aid, CPR Level C.
The estimated salary for this position is around $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
