Job Summary:

The City of Airdrie is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facility Attendant to join our team. As a Facility Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our town and country centre, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for various events and functions
  • Monitor the use of rooms and assist customers with their requests
  • Manage the flow of guests arriving and departing events
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address customer concerns
  • Ensure a safe environment is maintained and the facility is secured at the close of events
  • Perform light maintenance and custodial duties to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained facilities
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Intermediate First Aid, CPR-C & AED certifications (or able to obtain prior to start of employment)
  • Custodial experience an asset
  • Ability to set up rooms according to plan
  • Experience in small and large event room set up or similar experience an asset
  • Previous experience working in a customer service-related position an asset
  • WHMIS, safe lifting training, and time management training an asset
  • Experience with Recreation Management and Scheduling software an asset
  • Ability to anticipate client needs and respond to last-minute changes
  • Adapt well in a fast-paced, challenging environment with multiple and changing priorities
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to complete assigned daily tasks and priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and high work standard
  • Keen awareness for safety
  • Willing to participate and perform a broad range of duties

Additional Information:
