**The Opportunity**:
This part time/casual position consists of evening and weekend shifts, some shifts involving late nights. This is an entry level position within the Arena Operations department and includes the general everyday cleaning and sanitation of the facility.
Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Sanitizing washrooms, dressing rooms, official’s rooms, player boxes, penalty boxes and public areas within the facility
- Moving goalie nets on/off the ice
- Cleaning glass partitions, windows and affiliated fixtures
- Sweeping/mopping floors
- Re-stocking janitorial supplies to dispensers
- Attending to seating areas is required
- Assisting the Arena Operator with ice maintenance duties
- Some snow/ice shoveling is a regular occurrence during shifts
**You Bring**:
- A minimum age of 18 years is required
- Current First Aid and CPR certification required within three months of hire, at the employee's own cost
- Previous experience working in an ice hockey environment would be considered an asset
- A keen awareness for working safely
- Ability to communicate effectively and offer excellent customer service to visitors and staff
- Enjoy being part of a team, striving to excel in their delivery of exceptional facilities and service to the citizens of Airdrie
- Some knowledge of operating powered janitorial equipment would be an asset

**Additional Information**:
This is an evening and weekend position, some shifts involving late nights. Arena Attendants will be expected to commit to a minimum of 1 work week evening and 1 weekend per biweekly pay period.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a current, acceptable Criminal Records Check, including Vulnerable Sector, upon hire.
