Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Events, to develop and execute event plans, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, empowering event staff to deliver exceptional service and support.
  • Deploy and supervise event staff, ensuring effective execution of event plans and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Oversee event operations, including site setup, guest registration, and special event activities.
  • Provide regular reports to the Manager, Events, and third-party production contractors, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant destination information, ensuring event staff and guests receive accurate and timely information.
  • Adhere to all Town of Banff and Parks Canada special event policies and permit requirements.
  • Report any challenges or concerns to the Manager, Events, with proposed solutions.
Requirements:
  • Experience managing event sites, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various winter weather conditions, with a focus on safety and guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to lift items such as fire pits, tables, and sign frames, with a focus on physical stamina and adaptability.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on executing event plans with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, weekends, and statutory holidays, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability.
