About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Canadian Banking Branch network, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers throughout their financial journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Provide expert advice on investment and credit products, ensuring that customers receive tailored solutions to achieve their financial goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, focusing on delivering a exceptional client experience and growing long-standing relationships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and partners to identify opportunities for growth and development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure that our customers receive the best possible advice.
Requirements
  • Minimum two years of experience in sales and marketing of investment and credit products.
  • Demonstrated sales management experience and ability to market Scotiabank's products and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Licence to sell mutual funds and working towards the CIFP Diploma in Financial Planning (or Bank recognized equivalent).
  • Fluency in English and French, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.

Language Requirement

Pursuant to a language needs assessment conducted by Scotiabank, the successful candidate will be required to be able to communicate in English and French, as they will be working closely with other groups from head office who operate primarily in English and will serve an English and French-speaking clientele.
