The First Nations Health Authority is seeking a skilled Community Health Nurse to join our team. As a Community Health Nurse, you will work in an expanded scope of practice to provide primary care, public health, health promotion, and emergency care for First Nations individuals, families, and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary care, public health, health promotion, and emergency care to First Nations individuals, families, and communities
- Work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Develop and implement health promotion and disease prevention programs
- Collaborate with community members, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to improve health outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Current registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Must be or working towards Remote certified (RNC) with BCCNM
- Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's license
- Understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols
- Knowledge of nursing processes
- Municipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.31% after eligibility period
- Access to group health benefits and a Health Care Spending Account through Canada Life on day 1 of employment
