Job Overview

GA SIGNS & LIGHTING seeks a highly skilled Financial Administrator to join their team. As a key member of the accounting department, this individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping and possess excellent organizational skills. This role is permanent, with an estimated salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum. The successful applicant will work approximately 30-35 hours per week and are required to be fluent in English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and balance sheets.
  • Payroll Administration: Prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile company accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, proficiency in accounting software, attention to detail.
