Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team at Tigh Na Mara Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guests' rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, and distribute clean towels and toiletries.
  • Stocking and Supply Management: Stock linen closet and clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Guest Services: Handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, and provide basic information on facilities.
  • Housekeeping Operations: Pick up debris and empty trash containers, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to lift heavy loads, bend, crouch, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, values and ethics, and honesty.
