About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically demanding Fish Processing Labourer to join our team at Connors Bros. Division of Clover Leaf Seafoods Corp. in our cannery operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport fish and shellfish to work areas, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Condition fish filets for wrapping or freezing, adhering to quality control standards.
  • Weigh fish or shellfish, record weight, and pack fish in ice, maintaining accurate records.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, following established procedures.
  • Sort fish according to species, weight, and destination, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Clean work areas, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
  • Exposure to noise, odors, heat, cold, and wet/damp conditions.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination required.
Requirements
  • Availability for shift or on-call work, as required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with excellent interpersonal skills and oral communication.
