GFL Environmental is seeking a General Laborer to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to perform general labor duties at our facilities. Responsibilities may include:
- Performing yard clean-up and maintenance tasks
- Fueling vehicles and equipment
- Operating general site vehicles and equipment
- Performing general office maintenance and repairs
- Directing traffic at the site as necessary
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Meet relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards
- Be able to follow instructions and perform duties under limited supervision
- Be able to operate any equipment necessary to perform the job
- Be able to apply common sense reasoning to solve general problems
Physical Demands:
The physical demands of this role include:
- Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting in an outdoor environment 90% of the time
- Using hands and fingers, kneeling, crawling, talking, hearing, climbing, and balancing
- Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to manually lift/move up to 65 pounds regularly
- Ability to manually push/move up to 100 pounds with assistance from another employee
