Job Title: Automotive Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Whistler 99 Courier and Freightways Corporation.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks and automotive systems. This includes adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components, inspecting and testing mechanical units, and estimating parts and labor costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Estimate parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity
  • Overtime required
  • Standing for extended periods
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of manual dexterity and attention to detail. Steel-toed safety boots are required.
