This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled lawyer to join the legal department of a growing company in the real estate development sector, building and operating purpose-built rentals from concept to completion.

In this role, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to build a legal career in a dynamic and growing real-estate space while helping to deliver the housing that Canadians need.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate, timely, and practical legal advice to all departments within the organization
  • Draft legal agreements and other legal documents
  • Work closely with other members of the legal team
  • Support and manage external counsel
  • Manage risk as a facilitator of business operations
  • Actively participate in building and maintaining a positive office environment

Requirements:

  • LLB/JD or equivalent
  • 1-4 years post-call experience
  • Member in good standing of the Law Society of . or ability to transfer from other provincial law society
  • Preference for experience in corporate commercial, construction, real estate, litigation
  • Critical thinker who takes a practical approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to manage multiple work assignments and competing priorities under tight timelines
  • Team player, but with the ability to work independently when required with minimum supervision and a high degree of personal initiative
