Lead Our Team as a Lab Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lab Manager to join our team at Hoya Vision Care Canada. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our optical lab.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service team to resolve quality issues and improve production processes
  • Manage staffing levels and adjust schedules to meet changing production demands
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Analyze and resolve work-related problems, and train employees in all aspects of lab operations
  • Manage internal systems, audit reports, and KPIs to identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in production, manufacturing, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role in a production or optical environment
  • Strong management and leadership skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Technical knowledge of optical principles and lab processes, equipment, and maintenance
