About the Opportunity

The Physiotherapy Resident will play a key role in our rehabilitation services team, working closely with patients to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of physical conditions. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

As a Physiotherapy Resident, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care. You will also have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, from those with acute injuries to those with chronic conditions.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (provincial licensing body)
  • Computer skills, including statistics input, word processing, and Outlook
  • Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS)
  • WHMIS training and certification
  • Additional courses or education in specialized areas, such as cardio-respiratory techniques, acupuncture, or stroke rehabilitation
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Permanent Full-time, 75 hours biweekly
  • Shifts include days and some weekends
  • Travel to various sites may be required
Compensation and Incentives

$33.97 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
