At WCB Alberta, we are committed to delivering exceptional care to our customers, and we are seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to individuals with traumatic or cumulative psychological injuries or brain injuries in the workplace.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering psychological services to injured workers, including assessments and treatment recommendations, psychological work restrictions, and psycho-education to enhance their ability to return to work.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and develop strategies to optimize their rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Mentoring and supervising psychology interns and residents as part of our commitment to training and professional development.
  • Contributing to program development and quality improvement initiatives to ensure that our services are evidence-based and aligned with best practices in trauma and rehabilitation.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Active registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
  • Completion of an internship from a Canadian Psychological Association accredited facility or equivalent.
  • Experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting, with a focus on trauma and rehabilitation, and expertise in evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff.
