About the Role
The Health Care Aide is a vital member of our care team, providing exceptional support and care to residents, families, and volunteers. This role requires a passion for delivering high-quality care, promoting resident independence, and maintaining dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Resident-Centered Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living, promote choices, and maintain dignity.
- Documentation: Accurately document and report care and related observations to the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Safety: Contribute to a safe environment by understanding and adhering to safety guidelines and practices.
- Team Work: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to evaluate and change the documented care needs of residents.
Requirements
- Grade 10 education and Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate
- Previous Health Care Aide experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
- Excellent observation, communication, and problem-solving skills
