Heavy Equipment Technician

Brandt is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician - Material Handling to join our team at our Cambridge Construction & Forestry location.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on customer and dealer-owned equipment, ensuring efficient and timely completion of tasks.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, utilizing expertise in propane systems and industrial equipment.
- Work within budgets and approvals provided by the Service Manager, maintaining high productivity, efficiency, and gross margin.
- Accurately record all work done for customer and warranty records, adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a clean work area.
- Participate in Service Training programs to develop skills and knowledge, including training on industry-specific technologies.
- Trade qualification in Heavy Equipment, Agriculture, Automotive, or Truck/Transport considered an asset.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Commitment to high-quality customer service and a strong people orientation.
- Experience with hand tools, measuring devices, and electrical/electronic diagnostic tools/measurements.
- Knowledge and experience with industrial equipment, including lifting/rigging, maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial mechanical service equipment.
- Exposure to aligning equipment, using dial indicators/calipers, micrometers, hoists, or jacks.
- Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs.
