Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

241 PIZZA is seeking a highly organized and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and compliance.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements, ensuring that our kitchen is well-stocked and prepared for peak periods.
  • Hire and manage food service staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business decisions.
  • Prepare and submit reports, ensuring that our management team is informed and up-to-date.
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring that our team is well-organized and productive.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and management.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high standards.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with the ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Efficient interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff and customers.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff and management.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, and storage.
  • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster.
  • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
