Food Service Manager

At SUBWAY SANDWICHES & SALADS, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week, with a focus on leading our food preparation team to deliver exceptional customer service and quality food products.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure seamless food preparation and service.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring accurate ordering and inventory management.
- Hire and manage food service staff, providing coaching and feedback to ensure excellent performance.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, preparing and submitting reports as required.
- Supervise and check the assembly of trays, ensuring presentation and quality standards are met.
- Establish work schedules and ensure effective time management to meet business objectives.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
- Combine sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods, with physical demands requiring strength and stamina.
- Perform bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking as part of daily tasks.
- Client focus and excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Efficient communication and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
- Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or related role.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
