Senior Production Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Production Planner to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our production plans and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and optimize production efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, distribution, and sales, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of production plans.
- Manage and optimize raw material and finished goods inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to drive business results.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including production, supply chain, and sales teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in production planning and supply chain management to ensure our operations remain competitive and efficient.
- 3-5 years of experience in a production planning or supply chain role, preferably in the food processing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an asset.
- Strong understanding of production planning principles, including demand planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
