About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Process Engineer to provide technical leadership on the design, development, and manufacturing of interventional cardiology medical devices. As a mentor, you will help strengthen the technical rigor of the team by leveraging your strong foundation and experience in technology development and process innovation, optimization, and design for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive complex or novel assignments requiring the development of innovative processes and process characterization methodologies for existing and new technologies.
  • Work independently to lead the research, investigation, optimization, and execution of complex product and process-related projects.
  • Collaborate with various departments locally and globally to bring technical solutions to life.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge in a field to become a recognized leader or authority in an area of specialization.
  • Lead a project team, determining goals and objectives for the projects.
  • Mentor employees by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline.
  • 9+ years of experience in engineering or related fields (or 7+ years with Master's Degree).
  • Experience training and mentoring engineers in problem-solving and process improvement tools.
  • Strong statistical background.
  • Knowledge and ability to teach Design of Experiments.
  • Experience performing multiple process characterizations across various technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a highly technical group.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for multiple levels of an organization.
  • Experience engaging with clinicians to gain direction and product feedback.
  • Working knowledge of relevant medical device regulations and guidance.
