Principal Process Engineer

Boston Scientific is seeking a highly skilled Principal Process Engineer to join our Process Development team. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical leadership on the design, development, and manufacturing of interventional cardiology medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the research, investigation, optimization, and execution of complex product and process-related projects.
  • Collaborate with various departments locally and globally to bring technical solutions to life.
  • Develop new or refined technologies, products, materials, processes, equipment, and/or scientific methods.
  • Serve as a key resource or expert in technology development, product design and development, process design and development, and test of materials.
  • Analyze and solve complex problems from engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Influence decisions around alternative engineering processes, products, or equipment.
  • Develop knowledge in a field to become a recognized leader or authority in an area of specialization.
  • Cultivate internal and external networks of resources to complete tasks.
  • Lead project teams, determine goals and objectives, and mentor employees.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline.
  • 9+ years of experience in engineering or related fields (or 7+ years with Master's Degree).
  • Experience training and mentoring engineers in problem-solving and process improvement tools.
  • Strong statistical background.
  • Knowledge and ability to teach Design of Experiments.
  • Experience performing multiple process characterizations across various technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a highly technical group.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for multiple levels of an organization.
  • Experience engaging with clinicians to gain direction and product feedback.
  • Working knowledge of relevant medical device regulations and guidance.
