This posting will be used to fill one permanent, full-time position working 75-hours bi-weekly.

About the Role

As a key member of the Financial Operations team, the Supervisor, Financial Operations will be responsible for the effective delivery of the Government of Yukon's accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to the team, ensuring compliance with financial legislation, policies, procedures, and directives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the unit, including staffing, training, and team development
  • Responding to inquiries and requests from internal and external clients
  • Collaborating with other areas on tasks and process improvements
  • Working with the Office of the Auditor General
About the Department

The Department of Finance serves as the territory's statistical body and develops the territorial budget, corresponding supplementary budgets, and Public Accounts for the territory.

The department works with all areas of government in the creation of their annual departmental budgets and in processing operational accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
