Senior Corporate Lawyer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Lawyer to join our global team of commercial lawyers and professionals at RELX Inc. Company. As a Senior Corporate Lawyer, you will be part of a collaborative and dynamic team, working closely with stakeholders from all areas of our business.

Your expertise will be essential in preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, as well as providing legal advice to our business units. You will be responsible for managing risk through training and coaching of business partners and implementation of efficient contract governance processes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate a variety of legal contracts and commercial agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, data security, IP, licensing, and litigation matters.
  • Manage risk through training and coaching of business partners and implementation of efficient contract governance processes.
  • Communicate complex legal issues to business clients in an effective and succinct manner.
  • Integrate legal and business knowledge to develop practical business solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments and changes in laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

**Requirements:**

  • Hold a Juris Doctorate and be licensed to practice law in the United States or Canada.
  • Have 3+ years of post-call experience.
  • Demonstrate experience in an in-house legal department or law firm environment.
  • Show excellent judgment and analytical skills, with the ability to assess risk and provide practical advice.
  • Have experience in a wide range of general corporate or commercial legal areas.
  • Show a keen interest in learning and adapting to change and new technologies.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across the business.
