Job Title: Senior Research Coordinator

Baycrest is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for coordinating and conducting clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional support to our research staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and advise research assistants, trainees, phlebotomists, and safety staff on trial execution, protocol, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct clinical assessments with study participants, including vital signs collection and monitoring.
  • Record and report symptoms and changes in study participants' conditions.
  • Complete adverse event and serious adverse event reports and file with regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to Research Ethics Board submissions and communications.
  • Respond to on-site emergencies, incidents, and accidents, providing first aid and completing incident reports as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Postsecondary degree in a science or healthcare-related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification as a Clinical Research Professional (SOCRA, ACRP, etc.).
  • Current GCP, Health Canada Part C Division 5, IATA certifications.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
  • 2-3 years of research or clinical trials experience, preferably with older adult clientele.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Knowledge of Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act 1990 (FIPPA) requirements.
