About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters- Georgetown, ON. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for cooking staff.
  • Supervise specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Create new recipes and menus to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs to ensure kitchen efficiency.
  • Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities to meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Recruit and hire staff to maintain a skilled and efficient kitchen team.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a senior culinary role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
