About The Sweet Tooth Cafe

We are a dynamic and fast-paced cafe looking for a skilled Food Service Team Member to join our team. As a Food Service Team Member, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers have a positive experience in our cafe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and cook food items to order, including sandwiches, salads, and snacks
    • Portion and wrap food items for customers
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
    • Take customers' orders and process transactions
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation
    • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and surfaces
    • Keep the cafe clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
    • Keep records of the quantities of food used
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that customers have a positive experience in the cafe
    • Respond to customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
    • Experience in food preparation and service an asset
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Food Safety Certificate
    • Safe Food Handling certificate
