Business Development Manager

About the Role
The Business Development Manager is accountable for delivering a superior customer experience while driving profitable business growth, in line with business strategy. This role is accountable for building new relationships and deepening existing customer relationships for both credit and non-credit products/services.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for business development and executing on market strategies to acquire targeted small business customers
- Development of new strategic partnerships for Small Business Insurance (B2B)
- Builds client relationships within Western Canada and required to network with local business leaders to establish quality centers of influence that will refer business to Insurance Sales Managers
- Partners with One TD Partners, in particular, the Business Bank, in a bank act compliant way, to franchise small business customers
Leadership Skills
- Executing the TD leadership profiles and Framework that are outlined and defined as being part of our winning culture
- A strong focus on developing and executing strategies that will result in profitable sales growth within our risk appetite
- A focus on corporate governance and risk management within our business
- Strong communicator and collaborator of the business that strives to have a positive employee work experience and committed to the growth and development of the team
- Able to develop and nurture strong external and internal partnerships that will move the business forward
Requirements
- University/Post Secondary Degree or equivalent career experience.
- Preferred candidate will have Commercial Insurance Advice and/or B2B sales experience
- Experience coaching and leading a team
