About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Media Relations Specialist to join our team at The Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Communications Department, you will play a central role in shaping the Bank's external communications and media relations strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective media relations strategies to promote the Bank's policies and initiatives
  • Provide strategic communications advice and support to senior management and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Bank to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to external communications
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage to identify trends and opportunities for engagement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts and influencers
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in media relations, communications, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing effective media relations strategies
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian media landscape and ability to analyze and interpret media coverage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and stories
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
