Business Development Associate/Chemist

Saltworks Technologies Inc, a global leader in advanced industrial wastewater treatment and lithium refining, is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Associate/Chemist to join our team. As a key member of our Business Development team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and developing strategic relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a deep understanding of our innovative products, water chemistry, and saline water treatment fundamentals.
- Interview customers to understand their problem statements and gather critical information to enable development of effective solutions.
- Collaborate with our internal team to develop creative and differentiated process options and present cost-optimized solutions to customers.
- Focus on customer service excellence through responsiveness, thoroughness, and quality outputs.
- Complete high-level process flow diagrams, mass and energy balance, and economic analyses.
- Draft proposals, develop project plans (scope, schedule, cost), secure customer feedback, and work with customers toward a solution.
- Build meaningful long-term relationships based on technical trust.
- Represent Saltworks Technologies Inc through in-person customer meetings and at conferences and exhibitions.
- Relevant engineering or science background with strong core knowledge of chemistry.
- Interest in helping customers solve complex problems through the use of science and technology while collaborating with experts.
- Strong math skills and self-checks for accuracy.
- Excellent English verbal communication: ask questions and practice active listening.
- Strong English writing skills to concisely summarize key messages.
- Ability to process substantial amounts of information or lack of information and develop a solution that meets the customer's objectives.
- Experience with economic assessments and building process or cost models using Excel.
- A sense of urgency in completing projects on time to meet customer deadlines.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain high quality of work and quickly learn new skills.
- Research skills to unearth potential new customer opportunities and market segments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an interest to meet new people and develop new relationships.
- Enjoy traveling to connect with customers and network at industry functions.
