We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our culinary team at Golden Life Management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including vegetables, meats, sauces, and salads.
- Ensure the kitchen is operated in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, including adhering to food safety protocols.
- Manage inventory and stock levels, including dating and containing food as required.
- Coordinate meal service with colleagues and communicate with dishwashers and servers regarding cleanup.
- Provide excellent customer service by chatting with guests at their tables to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
- Complete all required records, including equipment and food inventory, food and supply orders, and budget requirements.
- Completion of secondary school.
- Completion of a college program in cooking or several years of related experience.
- Red Seal Certification is an asset.
- Food Safe Certification.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector - Criminal Record Check.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, a team player, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to provide a negative TB screening and immunization record.
