About the Role

The Dining Services Supervisor is a key member of our team at Verve Senior Living, responsible for overseeing the delivery and serving of meals to residents and guests. This role requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality service, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Manage the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, servery, and bar area.
  • Assign duties and tasks to dining room staff, ensuring efficient and effective service.
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, and training of new server staff.
  • Assist with coordinating catering functions and events.
  • Provide input on staff discipline and performance appraisals.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Food Handler and Smart Serve Certifications.
  • Minimum of grade 12 education with good oral and written skills in English.
  • Two years' previous experience in a similar position in a hotel/restaurant or institutional setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality service.
