About the Role:

The Dining Services Supervisor is a key member of the Verve Senior Living team, responsible for overseeing the delivery and serving of meals to residents and guests, as well as the cleanliness of the servery, dining area, and bar area. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the delivery and serving of meals to residents and guests
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the servery, dining area, and bar area
  • Assign duties related to dining room operation
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of new server staff
  • Assist with coordinating catering functions
  • Provide direction for scheduled work duties of servers
  • Meet and greet residents upon arrival to the dining room and seat them appropriately
  • Coordinate ordering and keeping track of inventory of liquor, wine, beer, and other requirements for bar service
  • Participate in the performance appraisal process with the manager of all servers
  • Ensure that meal service is carried out in accordance with approved policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Food Handler and Smart Serve Certifications
  • Minimum of grade 12 education with good oral and written skills in English
  • Two years' previous experience in a similar position in a hotel/restaurant or institutional setting
  • Serve It Right certification
  • Food Handler Certificate
