The CNIB Foundation is seeking an experienced Philanthropy Development Specialist to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven individual to lead our philanthropy development efforts. As a Philanthropy Development Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of new and existing donors, developing and implementing comprehensive individual strategies for qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift donors.

Responsibilities:
  • Qualify new and lapsed prospective donors to ascertain interest and readiness in giving at a major gift level.
  • Maintain a stewardship portfolio, ensuring that donors receive personalized correspondence, reports, and updates in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work in partnership with internal teams to coordinate strategies with assigned prospects, developing tailored and personalized proposals, and actively participating in and taking the lead with cultivation events.
  • Identify giving patterns of current donors and high-level prospects and identify donors with potential for growth and increased involvement with CNIB.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with program staff and involve the appropriate colleagues across CNIB to coordinate and execute strategies.
  • Ensure meticulous maintenance of Salesforce database recording accurate, strategic, and timely information on prospects and donors. This includes producing briefing notes, documenting solicitation plans, and meeting reports.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary education in fundraising, sales/marketing, communications, or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent related experience in philanthropy development, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Comfort and proficiency with CRM, financials, and budgets.
  • Adhere to applicable privacy laws as well as AFP, CAGP, and CNIB standards of discretion and confidentiality.

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including:
