Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all tasks of a Nuclear Inspector Level B and conduct non-destructive examinations.
  • Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures.
  • Create inspection reports, maintain, and file documentation.
  • Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members and customer representatives.
  • Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety, and environmental guidelines/regulations.
  • Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.
Requirements:
  • Proven commitment to workplace safety.
  • Must possess either MT CGSB-2 or PT CGSB-2 plus 2 of the following 6: CEDO UT CGSB-1 RT CGSB-1 2 years as a Fabrication/Machining inspector within BWXT Canada Ltd.; 5 years as Fabrication/Machine inspector with documented evidence from an external company or 5 years Fitting/Welding experience within BWXT Canada Ltd.; Certified Weld Inspector (AWS-CWI or CWB2).
  • Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in nuclear power-related industry.
  • Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.
  • Proficient with computer software.
  • Must be available to work any of the following shifts: Days: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Mon – Thurs) Nights: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Mon – Thurs) Weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun – 33 hrs paid 40 hrs)
