Financial Services Manager

The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly motivated and strategic leader to be the Manager of Accounting within the Central Services Branch. As a key member of the team, you will use strong communication skills to provide advice to program management on all aspects of financial planning, management, reporting, controls, and analysis.
You will develop and monitor financial plans and services, provide direction on acceptable internal control policies and procedures to protect and safeguard assets of the Ministry. Your expertise in financial forecasting (revenue and expense), as well as financial reporting for the branch, will be essential in driving business success.
The successful candidate will require knowledge of government, financial, budgetary, and legislative processes and policies. Using strong conceptual and collaborative problem-solving and relationship building skills, you will facilitate and negotiate solutions to complex issues among a diverse range of individuals.
To qualify for this position, the successful candidate will typically possess a professional accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent combination of education and experience within the financial sector. Preference will be given to qualified equity group members who self-declare in this online application.
