Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Kelly Services. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and statements.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, statements, and budgets for departments, senior leadership, and the Board of Directors.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for corrective action.
- Accounting Operations: Oversee the submission of monthly accounting information, cash treasury, and financial system maintenance.
- Financial Policy Development: Collaborate with departments to develop and update sound financial policies for the organization.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate audit requirements and communicate with auditors to ensure compliance.
- Financial Forecasting: Work with departments to develop monthly forecasting reports and review variance analysis for reasonability and plausibility.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare annual financial statements, notes to the financial statements, and reconciling schedules.
- Education and Experience: University degree and a professional accounting designation (CPA), plus three years' experience in accounting and financial systems.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and related software, experience with Microsoft Dynamics accounting software applications is an asset.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with peers and customers.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time and set personal goals and priorities to achieve department results.
