Job Title: Healthcare Professional - Resident Care Coordinator

About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is a world-class healthcare organization that delivers medical care, research, and education to over one million residents in British Columbia. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) to join our team as a Resident Care Coordinator at George Pearson Centre Administration in Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide leadership and guidance to designated staff, coordinate resident care activities, and ensure a high standard of care by acting as a clinical resource for staff, supporting training and development, and leading the interdisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical leadership and support to staff in designated areas of expertise
  • Ensuring optimal use of resident care resources and assisting with administrative activities
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, educational resources, and healthcare professionals/providers to achieve excellence in resident and family-centered care, education, and research
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Current practicing registration as a RN or RPN with the British Columbia College of Nursing and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Three (3) years' recent experience in the designated clinical area
  • One (1) year's administrative/supervisory experience
  • One (1) year's clinical teaching experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a resident/family-centered model of care, as well as experience working collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of CAD $49.20-$63.47 per hour, depending on experience.
