Payroll Operations Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Operations Specialist to join our team at First Student. As a Payroll Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the Contact Manager in all aspects of the daily payroll function. This includes processing new employee profiles, calculating driver/staff payroll, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
Process new employee files/records and submit to the Contract Manager for approval.
Calculate driver/staff payroll and input payroll information into the computer for processing.
Maintain accurate records, including driver seniority lists and attendance tracking.
Assist the Contact Manager in accurately tracking OT for purposes of reducing unnecessary and/or additional punch hours.
Verify all standard hours to reduce any additional driver hours.
Requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrates leadership qualities and is a self-starter.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
