This role reports to the Branch Manager and is ideal for a person with a positive customer service attitude who has the ability and willingness to perform a variety of tasks from interacting directly with customers to being hands-on in the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Inside Sales by answering questions, promoting our products, and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Process customer orders and payments using a computerized system.
  • Assist with managing inventory, ordering products, and forecasting.
  • Customer order fulfillment, which involves the picking and preparing of orders and requires strenuous lifting, turning, and torsion, as well as short-distance carrying of packaged or bagged products weighing up to and occasionally over 50 lbs. if forklift access is not possible. During the busy season, the loading and unloading of customer vehicles will be necessary.
  • The successful candidate must be able to drive and safely operate a forklift. In the loading of outgoing carriers and unloading of incoming containers, there will be instances where product must be manually restacked or repalletized to ensure product is safely contained for racking storage or shipping. A Class 3 Driver's License would be considered an asset.
  • The maintaining of warehouse safety standards, general administrative duties, and the ability to work as part of a team are also required.
  • This role will also act as the Site Safety Coordinator.

Requirements:

  • A valid Class A driver's license.
  • Previous forklift operation experience.
  • Basic computer skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this role is $25-$30 per hour. This range is estimated for Warehouse Specialist in Kelowna, BC. Actual salary and benefits may differ based on location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary payout of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
