Warehouse Operations Specialist

Randstad Canada is currently hiring for a reputable client specializing in international exports and imports. We are seeking a skilled Sit Down Forklift Operator with counterbalance forklift experience for a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities- Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Verify freight documentation, including type, weight, and hazardous materials.
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
- Recoup and repair damaged freight when necessary.
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
- Assist customers with freight and documentation as needed.
- Forklift operation experience is required.
- A valid forklift certificate is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry hand freight of varying weights, lift dock plates weighing approximately 100 pounds, and open trailer doors requiring approximately 75 pounds of lift force.
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, and push/pull freight throughout the shift.
- Previous dock/warehouse experience is preferred.
- Able to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to follow instructions and complete required training.
- Able to work alone or as a team member.
The position is located on Enterprise Way, Kelowna. The shift time is Monday to Friday, 4 AM - 12:30 PM. The work environment includes exposure to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, dust, and noise.
