We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer - Emissions Control Specialist to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Job Overview
This is a critical role in designing and developing engine exhaust emission control products from concept to production phase. The successful candidate will lead and manage design projects, establish quality benchmarks, collaborate with manufacturing teams, and mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage design projects for engine exhaust emission control products.
- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for manufactured and purchased components.
- Establish quality benchmarks and investigate product failures.
- Maintain and enhance the company's design database (PDM).
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and compliant with production capabilities.
- Mentor junior engineers in their professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in a design or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in sheet metal design and fabrication.
- Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Strong grasp of modern engineering principles to enhance manufacturing process efficiency.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrable mechanical expertise with hands-on experience.
