Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Risk Management Specialist to join our team at RBC. As a key member of our Technology and Operations Risk Management group, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating IT and operational risks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute identification, assessment, and treatment recommendations for IT and operational risks, with a focus on technology currency
  • Execute reporting and monitoring aspects of risk management for technology currency risk
  • Responsible for execution and completion of select security exemptions acceptance workflow process from start to finish
  • Contribute to the delivery of the IT and operational risk awareness program
  • Support and advise RBC on operational risk matters

Requirements

  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills, including strong appreciation of relationship management
  • 3+ years of experience in IT and operational risk management processes, methods, and tools
  • 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and software security architectures
  • 3+ years of experience in supplier risk management
  • 3+ years of experience in data encryption technologies (e.g. database encryption, VPN, TLS)
  • Demonstrable technical knowledge and experience covering the operating systems (e.g. Unix, Windows, zOS) and database systems (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2)

Preferred Qualifications

  • CRISC, CISSP, or CISA certifications
  • Knowledge of GRC tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Archer)
  • Knowledge of the Wealth Management/Financial Services industry
