Health Care Professional

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Worker to join our team at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and assisting with oral hygiene and toileting needs.
- Assist with meal service and ensure dietary needs are met.
- Monitor patient progress and behavioral changes, reporting significant observations to the Registered Nurse or designate.
- Respond to call bells/alarms and assist with patient transportation using mechanical aides.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Grade 10 and completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant or Care Attendant program, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and deal with others in a professional manner.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Commitment to developing knowledge and understanding of legislative obligations and provincial commitments related to Indigenous reconciliation.
