Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our interprofessional care team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and collect information from various sources to inform nursing diagnoses and develop effective care plans.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families on health management.
  • Collaborate with our interprofessional care team to develop and implement patient care plans, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Act as a resource and mentor to new nursing staff and students, providing guidance and support to ensure successful onboarding and integration into our team.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Two years' recent related acute care experience and completion of a nursing program in the designated clinical area (critical care or emergency nursing), or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and evidence-based practice within the designated clinical area.
  • Ability to role model evidenced-based advanced practice skills in the designated clinical area.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and members of the interprofessional care team.
