Job Title: Outdoor Kindergarten Teacher
Job Summary:
Parkland School Division is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Outdoor Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at Athabasca Delta Community School in Fort Chipewyan, Alberta. As an Outdoor Kindergarten Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment that fosters the growth and development of young minds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with Alberta Education standards and promotes experiential and inquiry-based learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes student success.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special needs.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience.
- Supervise and support students during field trips and special activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
- Experience teaching Early Years level and strong background in assessment and differentiating instruction.
- Good oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and a good sense of humour.
- Ability to take direction and work independently, flexibility, patience, sensitivity, tolerance, enthusiasm, creativity, and imagination.
